69 evinrude 55 hp running ruff

can someone tell me if you can bench set carbs on this motor since there are three on here i guess this is not going to be easy dont know it will be like setting one on a car or a small motor, or should i just break down and it to someone who knows how. thanks for all the help

getting the 3 carbs set on these motors can be tough. but you can do it. first of all you must get the motor to stay running under load. then adjust the carbs until you get a smooth low idle.<br />goodluck

it would also be good if you had a repair manual to do this. it will tell you in what sequence to adjust the carbs
