I have a 2004 Yamaha 703 control connected to a 70hp – and no manual. I’m in the process of adding volt, temperature and trim gauges and have 2 different wire connections from local dealers. I’m assuming it has a high temperature alarm but not sure. Anyone know of a link to a manual? I’ve searched the internet and asked the dealers – no luck.
Thanks

The control box has a warning buzzer contained within it. The buzzer will sound and the motor will go into RPM reduction mode any time there is an over temperature or low oil.

If you are working on this motor yourself then buy the service manual for it, it will pay for itself in time and trouble

Boating is a hobby that does cost you some money to be in

Great...thanks. I also found some info on the Yamaha site - looks like a harness and Yamaha gauges are the way to go. What I don't know is if my motor needs anything for the trim gauge (2004-70hp).

Great advice...once I find a manual.....I'll buy it.

some like after aftermarket manuals but I prefer ones from Yamaha themselves, any Yamaha dealer can get them for you or order online
