I don't know much about the boat, it has two metal emblems that say "KAY and Belleview, Mich under the kay" and that it is a 1970. I have looked it up every where and nothing. The boat mechanic said it was probably a kit. It is made of wood and fiber glass. The wood is just in the back half of the floor from what i can see. Its a two seater, I would like to know what the weight limit is? The speed calculator said 61, wow! the speed O on the baot goes to 60 so its pretty close. The girlfriend had tears comming out of her eyes from the wind yesterday. Should be lots of good times after i shortshaft it this winter and get some fresh paint on it..

i would like to have something like that but the wife will barely get in the bass boat with a 115 on it......of course the 2nd or 3rd time she went out w/me we were hitting some 3-4 waves(or swells dont know what you call them on a lake) ,due to the wind ,and besides beating us to death when she came up out of her seat she gave me a serious look and said turn around and slow down now..... to put it nicely

I take it in a river that has next to no curent and is usually really calm. I had it going pretty fast and hit the wake from a big boat, got a little air she fliped out. I picked up the baot and trailer for 200.00 with a bad 45 hp chrysler about 7 years ago and got the 40 johnson from my uncle for free. I had to put the motor back together (his friends got drunk and took it all apart) so other than time i have about 250.00 into the whole thing. It still needs some paint and a seat it has old lawn tractor seats in it now.

Thanks for the photos. What a fun looking outfit it is !!!!
It does appear that you have a lot of motor in the water from what I can see on the photo. You will most likely get a much different performance when it is fine tuned.
Where is Smiths Creek ??? in Michigan ???

Yeah its in michigan, right outside of port huron. those pictures of it in the water are in port huron on the black river. I'll be posting some pics of the questional parts that I may repair this winter. Yeah i have way too much motor in the water im going to short shaft it this winter seeings how summer is almost over im just going to enjoy it while i can this year. I had to throttle down a few times today, it handles kinda weird and i had the kids with me "well only one at a time". I will post some different pics tomarrow of the inside and other angles.
