So, i finished installing the breaker points, and condensers. I hooked up the battery and gas and 5 sec of cranking, she fired right up.
On my trail run i had it wide open for maybe 10 mins, then i lost power. While still in gear, i was sitting there (feeling like idle), so i put it in idle and i swear i could've rev'd the motor off the boat. After a few mins, i put it back in gear, and away i went with full power as before. Maybe 10 or 15 mins later, it did the same thing. I slowed it down (almost shutting it off), and put it in neutral for 10 sec, the away i went. The third time it did this, it just quit on me and i had to troll myself back to the house, which was a short distance away.
Now, when i try to electric start it, it's hardly turning if it turns at all. That is pretty much what it was doing before that alerted me to changing all this stuff to begin with. I don't have my sparkplug tester with me, but at least the top plug doesn't appear to be firing, however it's difficult to tell atm.
Just curious if anyone happens to have tips for me check on. By the time someone posts, ill prolly have the flywheel back off for an inspection
