Hi duch420,

Had a quick look through a manual I have and it says 70-135hp, 1966-1979 Connecting rod screw 170 in/lbs.

Also sent you a personal message.

Cheers

Re: 73 85 hp chrysler con rod tourque

I recently removed the bolts from my exhaust plate. Broke a few unfortunately. Finished up taking it to an exhaust builder I knew. He used a mig welder to weld a long metal bar to the remaining studs. He then applied a combination of heat to the block and spray freeze to the bolt to remove the broken bolts. Finished up costing me $160.00 to remove 9 bolts. This method is much easier on the block than drilling as it wont damage the thread like drilling off line will. The bolts are difficult to drill as they are high tensile steel. From memory you need a special type of drill bit.

I managed to get several corroded bolts out myself by heating the block and cooling the bolts. Also applied a penetrating oil like RP-7 or PB blaster. It took me days and some of them still broke off. The motor had been running in salt water. The exhaust bolts were only ? inch. The head bolt were much thicker and came out easily. The motor was 1998 so had less time than yours to corrode.
