73' johnson 70hp Cooling

Alright this engine has a stream thats kinda like a telltail but its low down on the bottom end, im not sure if the engine is cooling i ran it for probably a min and it didnt get hot, maybe just a little warm. 60degree maybe (it was like 30degree outsize)


i took the thermistat out
how can i tell for sure its cooling, i checked the passageways in the engine there all free
i just wana be sure the pump is working
