Hello everyone.

First my story I bought a 1974 Ouachita about 5yrs ago, and unfortunately I neglected it. It has been sitting in my driveway the past 2yrs uncovered. Yeah shot me now. The previous owner said it was stored inside and used very little. It was in good condition when I got it but now the carpets and seats are shot.

I want to remove the steering wheel console and seats and put a tiller motor on it. Also I am going to replace the carpet, my question is what should I be looking for to know if I have to redo the floor or foam siding etc. Any info would help.

This is my first boat and she is neglected, time to bring her back to life.

Check the floor for soft spots. If it was stored bow high and plug out, it might be ok (might). If it seems solid, I wouldn't go digging for trouble!
