75Hp Chrysler, Wont Idle so I can get her off the trailer. Also smokes (white smoke) like its on fire. Idles at about 1100 should be 800. When I put it in gear it quits. You have to do it real quick and start giving it gas to keep it from dieing. Runs great above Idle. But It seems to get hot after a short run.

I bought the boat with it not running. It had been sitting a long time out under some trees.
Boat flooring was completely rottin. Spent hours trying to get motor started. I found a hole in the exhaust port by #3 cylinder. This was flooding out #3 with water. Had it welded.Replaced rings and gaskets and head gasket.Cleaned carbs. Now she runs. If I could get her to Idle so I can get her off the trailer
and back on Id be happy. Ive turned every screw on it and set the timming a hundred times. HELP

First boat Ive ever had. New to working on these 2 strokers. But I only gave a 100.00 dallors for it. Suggestions Please

You should mix a 24 to 1 gas-oil ratio for the first 5-10 hours of running. Did you rebuild the fuel pump? Did you check and replace all fuel and breather hoses? When you cleaned the carbs, did you completely disassemble, soak and blow them out with compressed air?

White smoke, or white steam?? Could be water in combustion chamber. Do a compression check, check fuel, did you check the waterpump?
