Thank you for info could not access forum for better part of a week. Took boat and 75 to lake. has set for many years at between 15 and 20. Started on first try and ran smooth no misses but bogged in mid range and ran smooth no miss at WTO but no power. 9.9 speed. i think carbs need rebuilt. But thought i should get 2nd on that.
Is it the inline 3 carb set up if so it has fixed jetting and they plug up like crazy in the carbs a good cleaning is all it will need rebulid kits are about 20 to 25 bucks a piece 60 -75 for all three. Ive done these carbs alot and thats usually the issue with the bogging I find but a compression test will also be advised as well new plugs never know what they have been threw as it is new to you and for the 12 bugs there worth you cant go wrong.
on my phone now so will be short. Had plate of front of carbs could see that fuel was just splashing out not a mist or spray picked up kits but did not want to try rebuild at campground.
yeah she definatly needs it then just be sure when putting the needle in the seat to connect the little wire pulldowns to the floats the newer needles will stick like crazy without those wire connectors.
carb job done back together. no fuel to bottom carb. not good. done redo on compression top 122 mid 125. bottom 125 so i think i dodged a bullet. then put lower unit in barrel to test no water out tell tell. droped gear case impeller toast. This thing was putting water out faster than i could turn and look at the lake. at least it happened now not out on lake. found another problem te gasket in lower unit that conects to exhust has chunck missing i boats does not have one for year model. again thanks
Got parts motor back together drive to lake. Boat runs same! FIND TOP CARB with gas. Tear dowm carb 3 times. To make long story short i got new gas line and some had pushed a steel ball in it. Got that out boat runs great. Thanks for help.
