Hi everyone, I am new to this site, ( Great Site! ) and was wondering if anybody knows what changes to make to upgrade a Yamaha 75 two stroke to a 90hp? I own a 2003 75 TLRB with 9 hours on it. Would there be a very noticeable difference in preformance. I run a 19" pitch and get 48mph GPS. Thanks to all for your time, will be checking in from time to time. Tracstar

Not aware Yamaha made a 75hp two stroke in 2003.

Re: 75hp to 90hp

Old Crow, There is nothing in front of the model number, sorry. But it is a two stroke for sure. The engine takes no oil in its base but has a oil bottle inside of the hood. It is the same setup as my 1990 PRO-50. So that out of the way, do you, or anyone else, know the answer to my question? Maybe in the USA they never sold a 75hp two stroke, but they did in CANADA. Thanks once again for your time, and I await everyones answers. Tracstar

Wasn't doubting, just didn't see that model listed Yamahas parts web page.
Try to find a parts break down to compare.
As I'm sure you know engines of the same series typically use the same parts so it could be as simple as replacing/changing the cylinders (different porting), carbs (different jetting) and ignition
