I am trying to get to the Carb on a 76 Johnson 35 so I can remove the carb. I must over haul the carb. I need to remove the starter to get to the carb. I have removed two studs but I cannot find the other fastener for the starter bracket. Can anyone help me?

This may help. Remove 36, 53 and 60.

Screw 60 is the one that is hidden on the bottom of the starter. It is hard to see (and find) and also a tight fit to get at it.

the starter is bolted to the bracket with thru bolts thur the starter. you have to remove the bracket, notice the red, they hold the throttle linkage, have to come out, do not loose the bushing.
