well i got the boat and trailer few next to nothing and it is in good shape as far as the fiberglass is concerned but the stringers and transom are in the process of getting redone but have a few ? this is my plan of action as follows i will have boat all grinded down ready for the new stuff to go in

1 pulled old stingers out witch came out in one piece but are in bad shape they are 1*6 solid board 10 foot long going to try and find 1*6 ceder or red wood for new ones will this be ok to use

2 use old stringers to cut new ones and then resin them and let sit for a week or two while i work on transom?

3 use exterior cdx for new transom and resin them with a mat in between two layers of 3/4 cdx

4 then attach transom to boat using pl on bottom and filleting the transom and glass it in after i clean with acid tone

5 clean bottom of boat with acid tone and pl bottom of stringers in boat and start filleting the stringers and any where else that needs it

6 two weeks later clean everything with acid tone and start glassing in stringers to bottom of boat and tie them to the transom

so i guess my big ? is can i do it in these exact steps i know there is some time periods in between some of the steps but have to go with this type of schedule any help or things to change to make it work around similar time table would be greatly helpful and for this time table what type of resin should i use

Ayuh,.... I'd probably fab up a set of stringers outa 1/2" CDX....
If the old 1s are usable as a pattern, Good,.. If not, pull stringerlines,+ measure for the new 1s...

When leaving a project, between resin sessions,...
A sanding of the last sessions resins are usually necessary to promote a Good bonding with the newer, vs. older lay-ups...
