For me everything sounds and looks alright. Sorry but what is the problem? Is it grinding when putting in gear or?

If it is grinding the shift is not right adjusted. Also you always have to snapp the shifting in to gear, not hesitate and take it slowly.

Please explain what the problem is, cause I am not sure what it is.

oh ok no real problem i guess now.. it was originally stalling at 400rpms idling and and then i was watching other videos saying 800 rpms and i couldn't get it that high... and so i was just double checking everything now.. ok i was slowly putting in gear not just a jamming it.. and i just wanted to double check with you guys if i set everything right and if it was idling good as i wanted to set it to the proper settings since in my area no one knows anything about the Chrysler engines or wont touch it so i can get some parts but the mechanics wont bother so i just teaching my self from the you tube videos etc.. as i fixed the exhaust getting into the intake.. and just like i said get it perfect as one can be as a back yard mechanic :)...

as i googled the rpms could never find anything... and when i set it up and was running at 1400 rpms it wouldn't go into gear i guess

also is the 1 1/4 turns good enough i was watching one video said you need to make the top one more or it be too lean you need ot make the engine pop and snap then turn the screw a bit more open or what not.. what is the real proper setting for these screws i don't wanna blow motor on the water

Okey, then do not be so worried about the settings about the air/fuel mixture screws. 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 for both is okey.
To lean is NOT good, but that is less then 1 turn out because it can end up with melted pistons.
But if you have them 1 1/4 or a little bit more out .... no problem at high speed. You maybe have a bit rough idling and if you run at idle for a long time it might foul the plugs.
As this engines needs surface gap plugs, you just clean them if they foul and reuse them.
They will last for a very long time.

oh ok ya I noticed running engine when I try to reve it fast in neutral mode that doesn't engage the prop she doesn't run as fast as she did.. so as long as not under 1 full turn is fine.. always learning something new everyday... and so I didn't need to replace plugs then... whats special about these flat plugs do they work in cars too etc

so I turned them back to 1 full turn on the screw mix as it seems to run better there cant 100% test in the box but close... do you normally test it one person driving on the water.. and other person sets the screw wide open?

another question are they always hard to get started when cold and what does it mean you can be cranking a bit.. and then suddenly BOOOOM goes the dynamite explosion exhaust blows the water sky high.. but stalls next turn and she starts... what would be the problem there.. doesn't always happen but has been

forgot to add reving the engine in neutral a couple times.. made the engine suddenly idle from 600rpms to now 800 rpms... would that be just old gas or just sitting so long... ill have to get it in the water this week to get a real good test

The air screw is for idle operation only.
It has nothing to do with high speed operation.
It's set while in gear and motor warm and idling about 750-800
The 600-800 jump is using the old gas up in the system.

You need to start the motor and spray starting fluid around the base of the carb and around the motor.
Ant changes while spraying means it's sucking air. Fix it.

The boom while starting is usually the wrong starting procedures.
Your loading up the motor with excess fuel.

oh ok ill try that in the river as I took it out of my test box... as for the starting procedure what is the starting procedure... I have do press choke in turn key to start it then sometimes if I do that the engine slows down trying to turn over so I pull off choke and keep cranking till it turns over faster.. I guess I'm flooding it?
