i bought a 78 galaxy boat i/o and it needs alot of work but i am trying to find some help on how to build the back seats and the cover for the engine and stuff anybody got any ideas for me?

Pix of your new boat and perhaps which model by Galaxy would be most helpful.

Particularly to help define

A complete gut & refit?

Does the I/O run 100%

can u get the back seats and the dog house somewhere or do u have to build it and when i am putting in it they had rubber mats in it should i leave them or take them up?

Could it be a couple of jump seats, there are some in iboats.com or other online boat stores like mssboats.com.

First you need to decide on jumps seats or bench



The seat could also be a two position seat, but you would need to make them if like this. One position for sitting, the other for sun tanning.

If you can find a Marine Salvage Yard in your vicinity you MIGHT find them but I seriously doubt it. You'll probably have to fabricate your own. That's part of the fun of restoring these old boats. You have the ability to create them the way you want. You might come up with a better way than the MFG did. Put on your thinking cap and see what you can come up with.
