I was in in the process of replacing fuel lines when after removing the starter for access I found these lines.
I find nothing in the parts diagrams or Seloc Manual about them. There are two plastic 90s and a tee in the center.
They are both cracked in half and also the 90s and the tee are easily turned not what I would think to be an air tight seal,do they need to be tight?
It seems the hose is stock as there is black paint peeling from them. Can anyone tell me what their function is and what type of hose should be used to replace them with?

Sounds like balance hoses (picture did not post). Put some Teflon tape on the threads and tighten them up. Replace the hoses with fuel line and clamp them if necessary.

Thanks Chris.
Doing this work for a friend and not all that familiar with Mercury, most of my experience has been with old Johnson/Evinrude motors.
I also have another buddies 94 90 hp Force that sat for 8 yrs, can't get to run out with load in the water starts good high idle seems a little sluggish.
I dropped center carb float bowl down and peeked in it was clean have solid compression steady spark rebuilt fuel pump and using fresh gas.
Fuel pump had some white residue only a film no chunks or slime. Ran out good 8yrs ago
