79 Caravelle BR

Any opinions on a 79 Caravelle 19' BR with 305 V8 and Merc. 228 drive. It has engine problems, good outdrive, good (for age) interior, good hull, good tandem trailer. The engine is locked up. Is it worth fooling with at a cheap price?

Probably worth a try if it is free. I wouldn't put any money up front, but that is not my sort of boat.

Do you think that it could be worth 300 or 400 with trailer? I would keep it for my own use. Do these boats have a good reputation? It also has swim platforms.

To me it would depend on whether the wooden structure of the boat is rotten, and how hard it is to get the motor out of the boat.
