ok heres the deal...i went fishing this morning and got run home by rain(ike) and i wasnt showing the normal charge on the fishfinder.
i did some moving around of the batterys and apparently must have touched the wrong terminals at some point.
i did joe reeves rectifier test and i guess my new one is bad but just for ***** and giggles i tested my old one with the goo melting from the inside and the whole plug thing on the inside turned a little sideways.........it passed!
now i wasnt aware of this great info site (or any other) when i was overcharging like a big dog and i just assumed(yes i know what that spells when u break it down) that since i was charging at 17v at wot and there was goo coming from my rec that it was faulty.
why does the one with goo pass and the fairly new one not?
i probably already know the answer to this one but should i buy another or use the goo dripper?
thanks for the help.
