I finished putting to gether my lower unit. Before I filled it up with oil, I checked the pressure and no leaks. The only thing that bothers me is... when I twist the shaft, it's not as smooth as I would like it to be. If I don't hold it down (putting pressure from the top) as I turn the shaft...I get like a clanking noise as it rotates. If I put pressure down on it and rotate it..then it goes into the splines smoother. I still think it is not as smooth as it should be. Also, when I turn the shaft(in neutral)the prop shaft tends to rotate, just slightly, sometimes.<br />I don't know if this is because everything has to adjust cause of the new seals or it's that some 3m 847 glue that might of gotten onto the gears. Remember...my lower unit opens up into two pieces. I don't mind taking it apart again, it's I just wanna be sure something is not binding.
