Re: 80's Bayliner I would like to restore

Thanks for the quick answer, What I might do with the floor is just cover it with some removable rubber panels to give it a nice floor until I decide whether or not I want to rip it all down like you did.

Another point, I really like what you did with that piece in the floor that covers your bilge area. What kind of wood is that? What did you use to surround the cut out? Aluminum? Got any more pictures?

Thanks.

Re: 80's Bayliner I would like to restore

Hi all, I originally posted about an issue I am having with my drain hole, but can't find the original post, so I figured I could just add it here.

In my bilge, in the back, there is about 5 inches of white plastic tube that runs out towards the back, through the transom. On the outside of the transom, I removed the drain plug, however none of the water in my bilge is running out. I shoved a coat hanger into both ends, however it seems that I am hitting a wall, i.e., its almost as if this is not a straight shot out the back. Can anyone help me determine what I need to do to make the water run out? Thanks!

make sure the bow is higher than the stern, on my boat even with the plug out, it still retains 1/2-1 inch of water that i have to suck out with a shop vac
