Just bought a used 140 Mercury outboard motor from a guy who said it "ran when he took it off the boat" a few years ago. Said it's been stored in a shed the whole time. I want to get it running but I've noticed at least 3 wires inside the engine have rotted insulation and I am needing to locate the repair manual for it. I've looked at the sticky on this but can't seem to find the right manual. I am wondering if anyone can help? the serial# on the plate is 5742395(that's the whole number..no letters or zeros).
