More OTF questions.

No issue letting cure standing on edge as long as I allow for air flow, correct?

@jbcurt00 since you suggested the MDO grade plywood - the OTF is not soaking in much and only looking 'thirsty' at the edges. Where I bought was old school supply yard so was in one of the barns but we'll covered and in my garage for a week so should be nice and dry. I'm guessing not taking too much because it is a higher quality product and more dense wood?

Yep, that's why it's used for exterior road signs....

I used epoxy w MDO and it didn't absorb much.

10-4. Been about 45 min about to go wipe down.

Side note I will be putting the used rags in a paper bag in the driveway. Hope the cam will capture it igniting so we can post a PSA. and, well, it's a fire and I'm a dude......

First two are complete. Can only do one at a time now (two left) because sun it up and it's getting warm, only spave enough for one at a time in the garage.

Nearly a lifetime ago I did hardwood floors,

Had to change to white commercial trash bags after a bag of sanding dust got left on the wood deck and stain rags were tossed in....

Next day sat in the full sun and started to smolder.... charred a nice 2.5ft circle on the deck.
Homeowners were out of town, observant neighbors saw/smelled the smoke and hosed it off.

Also, dust/floor bin fires are a thing too...
In the winter don't shake out the dust bag on a sander up wind of a burn barrel.... flame travelled up the dust cloud....

Filled up the front third to check for leaks. Hope no more because I just used my last solid manual rivet. Scrounged up from the working area.

Three hours full of water bow to stern, no drips.

All four flooring pieces OTF'd and curing for next 72 hours.

Based on tepefields post I am taking leftover bbq pork ribs, chopping it up and making loaded nachos for supper, one of the 'kids' last minute spending the night with apparent marriage issues so my job is to shut up and cook and fill wine glasses for the girls until they fall asleep on the couch and then make breakfast and bloody marys.

Tomorrow planting squash and opening the pool and power washing the inside of the boat one last time to prep for gluvit.

It was a good day.

Goodnight.

I decided about 10pm that the girls would be able to fend for themselves so off to bed I went. As usual for a man my age, about two hours later I get up to complete my old man rountine only to find them unpacking what turned about to be about 50 bucks of Taco Hell from door dash. Naturally, I joined them and yes it was just as horrible as one could imagine.

In other news, water overnight in the boat did end up with a wet spot about 2 inches across so I believe I am at the point of diminishing returns and hope the gluvit does its gluviting.

Totally unrelated..... the house down the road appears to have secured a peacock to add to the donkeys, dogs and chickens that announce the arrival of each and every morning. Yay us.

Unfortunately, no fire was started.

Ordered paint, primer and no slip rustoleum today. The otf should cured by Wed.

While brushing the rivets in prep for the gluvit, one popped and I decided to drill out three more.

Paint just got dropped off and after tonight's storms it will be low 70s day and low 50s nights so I'll be much more productive. I'm going to wait on the gluvit application so I have a bit longer working time.
