83' DT65 overheating help!

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me, My dad and I are having overheating problems with our 2 stroke Suzuki DT65 outboard.
We've replaced the waterpump but the boat is not spitting water out of the small hole outside the engine case.
It overheats with lots of smoke after 15 minutes of running.
It seems to run fine up until this point. We have a service manual as well.

Any help would be great!

Check the thermostat ..... is there water coming out the exhaust ports? While the engine is running, wiggle a thin wire in the "pee hole", there could be a blockage ......
