Re: '83 Johnson 35 "slipping" and "reving" in forward
Hello again all,<br />Unfortunately, the old addage remains true... a hole in the water that I keep having to dump money in. I couldn't get the prop off, so I just drug the whole thing in and it seems that the hub is EXTREMELY well frozen to the prop shaft and she's not going to budge. It was recommended that I heat the hub and then try to remove it but I don't have a puller and I'm afraid that heating the hub will heat the shaft and then I'll have to replace all of th seals. Oh yeah, I almost forgot... on the way home the cover blew off (faulty latch that I hadn't yet replaced) and got crushed by a car! Insult to injury be dammed! Anyone know where I can get a cover for a 1983 35 Johnson Sea Horse... cheaply!
