Hi, This is my first post, and I thank you guys for your expertise. My '83 Merc V200 developed a sudden ignition problem while on the water. I think this was due to exposed wiring which has since been replaced. I have worked on it at length, replacing several ignition parts. Here's the symptoms-<br />Seems to cutoff past 1300-1500 rpm where I think one cylinder is missing. Compression fine, carbs fine etc. Top rpm reduced to 4200 @WOT. Takes way longer to get on plane. Replaced both switchboxes, and all six ignition coils. Trigger passes ohm test. Could it be a Stator problem, or advance module? Thanks, Brady
