Is it normally necessary to remove the high speed jet during rebuild. If so, manual recommends OMC special tool to remove. Anyone know where I can buy the tool?

Usually not necessary, I didn't remove mine, but I was haveing idle problems. You can use a screw driver, you have to grind the tip of it down some and shave the sides down if the screw driver is to wide. Be carefull not to get too rough, you may damage the theads, if this fails to work or the jets are in to tight then you may want to get the tool. Any outboard parts dealer should be able to get it for you.
Hope this helps.

Yep....what hoss said....He knows some stuff about carbs now..... :)

Before I went "big time", I made a jet remover out of a heavy blade screw driver. Worked well.
