I just mant to say that this is a great forum for boats! I found it by accident and read up on my '87 Suzuki dt150 and fixed the prob myself! I was just wondering if anyone out there has a diagram on a 1984 ranger. I just purchaed the boat last week (not running for a bargin) and i need to do some electrical work on it. Gauges switches and other things are not working and I dont want to do anything before I get a diagram. Thanks and I appreciate any help.

Re: 84 ranger diagram

Your best bet is to contact Ranger but most boat manufacturers don't even publish wiring diagrams -- probably because the gauge panels are outsourced and are very generic. Go to this link for a generic wiring diagram. Unless you have some unique stuff on your boat, this will work for 90% of what you have.

Re: 84 ranger diagram

Thanks i contacted them and they emailed me the diagram.

Curious, I have an 1984 350V and Ranger emailed me back stating that the diagrams are no longer available.... Who did you contact parts or who might have you talked to?

Thanks,

Welcome to iboats!

The OP hasn't been active here for almost 2 years, so I doubt he'll respond. Start your own thread detailing exactly what problems you're having. As noted above (and in about a gazillion other threads:)), boat wiring tends to be very generic, and there are several generic wiring diagrams in the stickies at the top of this forum.

Cool Bob!

Appreciate it... I actually do not need a wiring diagram for for common sense and some patience resulted in a successful experience in getting the necessities on the boat working this week.

However, it would be nice to have one handy when it is really needed.

Thnx,
