Hello,
My 125 has good compression, new ignition parts (except 1 cdi box and coils,) new fuel pump and properly set carbs. It starts good but then will drop two cylinders at the same time. If I tap on the cdi box area the thing comes to life instantly. All the wires are tight and not pinched anywhere. I am going to check one more time to be sure. Seems like the one old cdi box. Could this make the spark come and go or am I overlooking a wire on this box??? Thanks!

Loosen all your connections and retighten.Make sure you don't have bad ground. I had a wire come loose and did the same thing. The ground lead came loose somehow.
If that doesn't help the pack might be going.Jerry

Thanks Jerry. I just bought a multimeter and I found some troubleshooting help on how to test the cdi box. I also have one spliced wire on that cdi box that has came loose once before so I am getting ready to solder it and heat shrink it. While I am in there, I will check all grounds too. Thanks again!
