86 Johnson 120HP v4 VRO Carb kit question

Good Day,

i am going to do a card kit on my "new" motor and i noticed the Service manual shows 4 float bowls and it seems the main body comes off the throttle body. So would i need 4 carb kits P/N 396676?

i was used to the older units pre 1978 and the whole unit came off, so for a v4 you'd order 2 carb kits

My Model is J120TLCD

You need 4 kits.

Yes, you'll need four (4) carb kits. My books state that the original carb kit part number for the 1986 120hp model is 398174 and is superseded to part number 439079.

Actually while i have this thread started, does this carb have fixed jets?

Yes, all the jets are fixed, no adjustments.

NOTE: All jets have their sizes imprinted upon them. Make a note as to what size goes where. Do not rely on memory.
