hey,<br /><br /> what is the proper way of checking spark on a 86 90 hp?? i probed the rubber on the end of the plug with a test light and only 3 of them slowed the motor down when i probed it. could the # 4 coil bed bad??

Hey...<br /> I got this motor for 50 bucks...<br /> it had been sitting for 4 years in a garage. i got it all rigged up and running but a little rought last year. i put it up for winter and when i got it running this spring it has had a skip to it. some times it's hard starting but i solved that (under sized battery cables) now it idles rough and has a bad skip. i have put new plugs and wires on it.
