I have an 86 Suzuki, model no 150ss. I have just purchased it, and am totally ignorant about boat motors. It starts right up, but will not idle without dying. If I try to put it in gear, it also dies. Even if I rev it up in neutral, it will eventually die. I noticed that after each time, the primer bulb is soft again. There is also a little bit of gas/oil mix in the bottom of where the motor is. Not sure if any of this helps, but it is all I know. For all I know, I have a choke on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am also looking for a manual on this motor if anyone knows where to get one. Thanks again.
.... sounds to me like you do not have enough ventilation at the fuel tank, make sure the ventilation screw on the fuel tank is open ..... let it idle about 5 min before putting it in gear ..... you can find a part breakdown on brownspoint.com .......
