ok...so I had my carbs rebuilt...got the motor running pretty good...fires right up now...decarbed the motor, tested spark and compression etc....except goofy me...somehow i flipped the carbs around...the carb with the cam roller is on the bottom...i took off the cam roller before I knew what was going on. Anyways, I need to flip my carbs back around tomorrow, and put the cam roller back on. Now that I have taken it off....how easy is it to get it placed back correctly and get my cam roller aligned correctly?

Also, one of my cables shifter , etc had the little thumb screw turned some when the cables were unbolted from the retaining clip area on the air silencer housing. How do I adjust these back to where they go. Any tips would be great. Now that the motor fires and runs great, id like to get this thing set correctly and get it in the water!

On your turn plate you should see two notches where the cam roller and turn plate meet. At the middle of those two marks, the cam roller should touch turn plate and begin to open carbs.

The factory service manual describes the adjustments between the cam roller and the spark advance lever as "sync and link." Basically this procedure syncs the opening of the carb with the advance of the ignition spark. This is a step which aligns a couple of components and requires attention to detail. The factory service manual describes this procedure the best. If you don't have a factory manual, can get one from Ken Cook Co., in Milwaukee: Outboardbooks.com
