87 DT85 No Fuel

Ive had a problem with my boat nearly since I bought it over a year ago. I get plenty of spark, but no fuel when its cold. If I turn it over for about 15-30 minutes it will finally run, and once it runs, it fires back up, and runs strong until it gets cold again. Then the symptom returns. I searched threads with DT85 problems, and couldnt find one regarding this particular problem. Thanks for the help.

hello<br /> after priming the system test it by observing the choke plates while cranking. sometimes a poor connection or a bad choke coil will prevent the choke from staying closed while cranking.

Rodbolt's spot on. Suzuki triples will not crank cold without the choke fully closed. Easy test is to give it a go with the manual choke. This is also true for the 115-140 Suzuki's.

Thanks, guys. I did more searching, and verified the choke was closed while starting. Turns out, I had a small hole in the primer bulb. I replaced it, and the boat seems to start much better, now. Thanks again.
