Need help finding needle and seat for my carbs. I have the press in seats so I think all I will need to replace will be the needles correct me if I'm wrong. I found part number FK101702-1 on ebay but my needles don't have the rubber tip on the end. They aren't leaking and motor is running fine. Storing a few parts for this motor since they are so hard to find. Would FK101702-1 be the correct kit for me. Thanks for the help.

I have the same motor. New needle and seats are extremely rare for this motor. The blue rubber o ring in my original seats were bad. I replaced the push in seats with the type that are all metal and have a needle with a black rubber tip. I believe the black rubber is more resistant to ethanal than the blue. You should grab the ones on ebay if I were you. I think the number is FK10107.

Mine has the brass seats,I think they are press in but I'm not sure. If so haw do I remove them to replace them with the ones in the kit FK101702-1. Hope I never have do replace them but I'll buy them just in case. These motors are a beast and very easy to work on but parts are hard to find. I've had mine Force for about 12 years now and all I've replaced on it is the starter(KNOCK ON WOOD). Lucky me I guess.

You can try and thread a bolt into the center hole of the seat and use a slide hammer to pull them out. You can also drill them out but that's a little risky. Either way, you basically destroy the seat when you remove them. Best to leave'em be unless you see pitting or damage.

Threading and inserting a bolt into the seat and then pulling them out is what I did. This worked out well. I had to replace mine because the rubber o rings were destroyed. If your seats are still in good shape you are lucky. A tip for you, never ever spray carb cleaner in those seats as that will dissolve the rubber o rings. Do not ask me how I know that.
