I have my engine upright on an engine hoist all hooked up ready to show to someone to sell it and when I jumped the tilt solenoid "up position it went all the way up but would not go down, when I jump the "down" solenoid the motor works but again wont go down. the lever is up and not engaged and the flat head screw I loosened and fluid came out so I screwed it back in.
I tried pushing down on the transom bracket while engaging the down solenoid and still nothing. It seems stuck but I was told that while in the all the way up position if fluid comes out of the pump when I unscrew the flat head screw it means its full?
