Ok, guys, I'm not a mechanic, but I need your help. I'm trying to get an idea if my problem is a major part problem. My Son says he thinks its a stator problem, But I was thinking a mag coil problem. motor seemed to run fine after mechanic did carb rebuild in Feb. Seemed to not run fine after I pressure washed inside around power head to remove oil at base of lower shroud. Yesterday I took the boat out for the first time since the carbs were rebuilt. Not idling good, barely got it started. Only would go about 14-1600 rpm's at WOT. After I got home, I pulled spark plugs. I found wet (smelled of gas) but totally clean plugs on right bank, and wet but oily plugs on port bank. I'm guessing it is a pickup coil, maybe? I'm assuming no fire based on the wet/clean plugs on that bank. These were brand new plugs. Any ideas if this is a serious problem or not to bad. WAS EMBARRASSING with the wife along and only barely under way while in WOT position on controls
