My Manual Calls For Seating Pilot Screws Lightly, And Then Backing Them Out 1.25--2.75 Turns. That Is A 1.5 Difference.
Can Anyone Simplify This Procedure For Me..
I Will Be Running Engine In A Tank.
How Can You Tell When Both Screws Are Adjusted Correctly.
Thank U All.

Set the screws at 11/2 out. You should be pretty dang close with that. You can't really tell in the tank if you are good or not. You are not under a load. I'd suggest backing the boat in the water while still on the trailer after you adjust the screws and see what it sounds like. Leave the front cover off the carbs so you can make adjustments if you think it is needed. Remember that you can only get about half the rpms while sitting on the trailer so if you want to make adjustments run your motor at about 1500-2000 rpms on the trailer. You'll need to plane the boat to reach full rpms. If you do not have a tach just run the motor at about 1/4 - 1/3 throttle. Run the boat out on the water after you make adjustments and see what it does. Good luck.
