I'm struggling with my ignition system and have a question about OHM readings from my stator. The Red and Red/White wires are within specs at 53 OHM's. When I test the Blue and Blue/White the meter doesn't read consistently. I'll get a value of anywhere between 360-2100 flash briefly (1 second) and then go back to open circuit. I thought that meant it was bad so I replaced it. Put in a new stator without testing it first. After it wouldn't fire, I checked for spark and found none on any of the four cylinders still. OHM tested the new stator and got the same results as the original. Figured my meter might be jacked so decided to replace the switch box with no change in my condition. I don't have a DVA adapter but my neighbor just lent me his analog amp meter that reads up to 750v. I'm getting around 180v between the blue wires and around 20v between the red leads. That 20v looks to be just under specs. Tested the purple and brown wires from the trigger and the gauge barely moves. Don't think i'm getting 4v+. Everything I had read says it's very unlikely a bad trigger would cause no spark on all 4 cylinders....I have removed the kill circuit (black/yellow) from the switchbox and the two yellow stator wires running to the rectifier. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
