hi i have a 89 3.7 470 and when i turn off the motor it trys to stay running then when it turns off a puff of smoke comes off the carb and then its hard to start up the motor

Idle might be too high and/or the timing might be wrong.

Ayuh,... It's known as Dieseling, or Run-On...
You've gotta find the problem,+ Fix it, cause it'll cause the motor to kill itself...

ok i just installed a new tune up,gas and all new filters and a brand new carb and it is still doing it what the ........

Ayuh,.... There might be a List up the the Adults Only section,... Donno....

Some causes are,...
Timing,..??
Idle,..??
Hot cylinders,..??
Carboned head chambers,..??
Rich fuel conditions,..??
Lean fuel conditions,..??
And it goes On,+ On....
