Good for 10 extra horsepower. :D

Those round rectifiers do get fairly warm, what is the concern?

ive replaced the power pack stator coil plugs and plug wires and you can run the boat as long as you want but when you sit it down and go to take off it starts missing at 2500 rpm let it sit for 10 minutes takes off like nothing ever happened

Could be fuel leaks, air leaks, carby problems, timing etc etc.If your rectifier goes your tach will play up,and battery wont charge.Test the amp output.

Sounds like SLOW is kicking in, SLOW will prevent the motor from revving past 2500rpm until it cools down, then everything starts to work again. When it does it, check the temperature of the motor with a laser thermo or your hand. Generally the rule of thumb, if you can hold your hand on the head for 3 seconds it's fine. Next thing i'd be looking at is a faulty temp sensor if its not overheating.

You can try cleaning the carb, might have dirt plugging up the high speed circuit. Disconnect the rectifier and retest, could be causing your issue.
