Hi all,
My dad just bought a 89 Bayliner Capri for $650...it needs a lot of work, but that's what we wanted to do. I'm out looking for the frontal seat cushions for the thing...the ones that came with it had mouse holes in them so we chucked them. Is there anywhere I can get the seats for cheap? I'm not talking about the actual driver's seat, etc...the ones in the bow of the boat.

Thanks, Rob

Not really but recovering them and new foam is not a big job as they are usually fairly simple without a lot of curves or corners. Any low cost upholstery shops in your area?

Just a pet peave for me and a value killer, do not go the cheap, easy way and recover everything in white. ;) No matter how good a job you do, it will still look cheap and says the owner didn't care enough to do it right.

I don't know of any shops in my area...but there are probably some...I'm not sure if he threw the cushions out or not...gotta go look for them!

Bass seats or jump seats without the bases work pretty good, you can fit one on each side. Ebay usually has some blems that they clear out. I took all that crap out, and put in a deck with a pedestal bass seat and F/C trolling motor.

I'd be looking at the motor, outdrive (if I/O), and transom before doing anything cosmetic.

Check craigslist they always have people on there with good boat seat skills that can do it for alot cheaper then trying to get new ones. Just keep and eye out and you can find them on there I know there was one posted on craigslist in the albany ny area. Can always ship . dave
