89 Force 125- Idile Problem

I have an 89 force 125. When idiling, about every 55-60 seconds, it revs up on its own and then goes back to idle. Has anyone ever heard of a situation like this?

Brmoore,<br /><br />I have seen a problem like this. It was caused by an air leak on the intake manifold, or reed box. It also could be insuficient fuel dilevery at idle causing the carbs to run out of fuel and then when the engine leans out it revs up and this refuels the carbs.
