Hello I am new to the forums and new to outboards period. I just bought a 1988 bayliner capri I am having issues keeping it running at idle. I have to throttle it up in neutral for it to start and stay running. Once I get it in gear and moving it seems to run pretty good but my rpm at full throttle are only about 3800rpm which I would think it low. I just replaced all 4 coils and installed new plugs. From my experience with other motors I would have to say it is a fuel delivery system issue does this sound correct and if so what should I check first? Can idle be adjusted on carbs or should I check fuel pump filter etc? Thanks in advance John
