My chokes occasionaly work but usually just clicks and the choke twitches a little but doesn't close the carbs. Is this a part that frequently go bad or is this more likely a bad wire?
Thanks for any advise.

Are you able to move the choke freely by hand, connected to the solenoid and disconnected from the solenoid?

Fyi - i'm no expert.

I remember reading that solenoids VERY rarely die. However, the grounds are known to get corroded or go bad.

I would try removing the solenoid and trying it with jumpers. My guess is the ground or a wire is bad.

I wanted to make sure that everything can be freely moved by hand...process of elimination.

WD-40 or spray lube on the choke solenoid.Spray and have someone hit the switch. Then keep doing it up.They get gummed up.
Use your fingers get in and move it.J
