IF??? the valve body holes are different than the old.
I'd guess you have the wrong one.
Or maybe try swapping the lines around?

Well no Prestolite available to rebuild. Boating season will be over soon here in Ontario Canada.Im taking a chance on this but it is a complete unit motor resevior & valve body. It is an Arrowhead product that was ready available. Not my preferred choice but don't want to wait 2 to 3 weeks for shipping & customs coming from the States. It comes with a 1 yr warranty and bought it from a dealer who has had all success with them this summer. At least it's sealed & plug & play. I plan to install it today. Will keep u posted on how it goes. If it works the other CB is going back. I truly appreciative everyone's input on this topic, it has been most helpful.

Update picked up the parts on Friday installed it yesterday being so excited about using my boat this weekend that I fail to notice it was a 3 wire system not a two wire system. Not a happy camper however thanks to iboat forums I finally figured out the conversion. I decided to keep the two wire system on a Simplicity and not having to run extra 10 gauge wire. I simply pulled the center ground wire on each relay and also disconnected those grounds from the engine. I then connected the third black wire of the tilt and trim to ground of the engine block. Connected the blue and green wires of the tilt and trim motor to the harness and Presto! It works great in both directions and holds the trim as well very happy with the results.
