8hp Yamaha water pump replacement??

Got this lttle engine from a guy and runs great.However it is not moveing any water.<br />Its prolly 8 or 9 years old.I have done a few but i was told the shift linkage needs to be in a certain spot or the assembly will not go back on correctly.<br />I need a process to remove the lower unit and replace the pump.If any one has this in text or pdf.I would greatly appreciate it.

Best bet is to buy a service manual...<br /><br />The second option is to go to yamaha's web site and check out the exploded views there, under prts and service...
