9.9 electrical ?

Hello All.

I just picked up a 9.9 model E10RCTR from a friends barn. I'm in the process cleaning it up and replacing some wires that the mice have chewed, to use on my crab skiff. Here is my question: this motor is electric start, but does not appear to have a charging system. Is this normal, or has this been modified? Is it possible to install a charging system? It would be nice to use the electric start without having to recharge the battery all the time.

I believe part #174037 is a battery charging add-on kit for your motor.
