90 hp 2006 mercury efi 4 stroke only idles

I hv checked the fuel lines and replaced fuel water seperator. Any suggestions on why it will only idol? If i try to go faster it will run fine for a couple of min then the engine will shut down and i will have to put in netural.

have you checked your fuel module. it has a fuel regulator, walbro injector pump, walbro intake pump and intake pump float.
it may be a cracked fuel regulator line in the tank.

interested to know what you find, I am doing research on a fuel problem with mercury 4 stroke EFI.
believe Mercury/ Magneti Marelli (maker) are using the wrong material on the fuel regular hose in the module. ethenol gas harden it and it cracks under vacuum.
chamber is made & assembled by Magneti Marelli> Italian company and sold to mercury who put it on a Yamaha made 4 stroke engine.

Have you tested the TPS voltage through out its range?

Ok, it ws the inline fuel injector filter. The lining on the inside was deteriorating and blocking it. Once we replaced it's been running great! Thanks for all the help!

So since my last post motor has ran great. Then last week while coming in lost power and could only idol in. I can have full throddle and it will only idol. I changed all the spark plugs. What should I try next?

did you pull the cover and look to see that the throttle was working correctly?
there is another filter after the fuel pump. also there are filter in the inlet to the fuel pumps in the "fuel module". If you ope the fuel module change the hose to the fuel regulator and the float. look up your model and year on iboat parts. I'm no a mechanic working with someone on mine and trying to pass what we find. Did you use the same type hose or fuel injection ethanol proof hose?
clean the fuel module and check both screen in the pumps.
