90 hp lower unit compatibility

I have a few blown lower units off a 94 yamaha tlrs 90, and wondering what other lower units will work. I found a decent deal on 2004 90 tlrc 2 stroke unit, I compared part numbers between them and they have differant cases but same shafts. Also alot of 115 units out there will these work? Not too many for 90's.

I have one all stripped down ready for rebuild but all the parts come out to around 7-800 dollars. And I'd spend a couple hundred more for one in decent shape, just not 1450 new plus 200 shipping to me in Alaska.

Any help is appreciated.

Ok been looking at other things like the upper casing to see if it can be crossed over, anyone know if the part numbers has numbers or codes for the colors? Most of the numbers are the same except the last 4 digits, which could be color codes?
I just want one or 2 more years out of this outboard then its time to upgrade to a 4 stroke, 7 dollars a gallon of gas is a pain.
