I just purchased a nice aluminum boat with the venerable 90ELPTO Merc (2001) but it came without a user guide, is there an online version hidden somewhere?

What I need to learn is how Merc suggests/wants this motor started when cold and warm?

Re: 90ELPTO Starting procedure by the book

COLD:
1) Squeeze primer bulb until firm.
2) Raise fast idle lever about 1/3 up.
3) Turn key to RUN (not START).
4) Push in on the key and hold for a count of 8 (as an alternate to the eight count, hold key in while turning to START).

IMPORTANT: The eight count routine will not work unless you squeeze the primer bulb first.

5) Turn key to START.
6) When engine fires, lower fast idle lever to a point where the engine stays running (do not race the engine)
7) Be ready to bump the key (push in quickly) to provide a little more fuel if the engine tends to die during warm up.
8) When idle is stable, lower fast idle lever and drive away.

WARM:
Raise fast idle lever, turn key to START. Rarely will you need to choke (prime) a warm engine to start it.
