I HAVE A 84 COBIA ODDESY 3.0 MERC CRUISER ENGINE, IM EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM JIM WAS EXPERIENCING. MY ENGINE IDLES OK, BUT IF I GO ABOVE 2000 RPM THE ENGINE SPITS AND STALLS, MIND YOU 2000 RPM GIVES ME ABOUT 5 MILES AN HOUR MAYBE 10. I WAS THINKING CARBERATOR I TRIED ADJUSTING AIRLFUEL MIXTURE NO LUCK I HAVE A SINGLE IGNITION COIL AND A 2 BARRELL CARBURATOR. SINCE READING JIM SITE IM CONFUSED AS TO WEATHER THIS IS AN IGNITON PROBLEM OR A FUEL PROBLEM. I HAVE NEW PLUGS NEW FUEL PUMP. IM GOING TO TRY POINTS CAP ROTOR AND CONDENSER I COULD DO A OHM CHEM ON THE COIL IF I HAD THE SPECS. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? BY THE WAY JIM CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE VERY DETERMINED.
